Grégoire Lorieux

As a composer, I design listening situations where music intertwines with the living world: in forests, in meadows, by the water. I work towards an ecologically informed music: participatory settings that make audible, in situ, the ties between humans and their environments.

I have taught at Ircam since 2004, and I compose instrumental and vocal music, with or without electronics. I co-directed the ensemble l'Itinéraire from 2013 to 2024, and I have developed cultural outreach and creation programmes.
